Poster for the Third Ever Blue Oyster International Art Fair, based on the T-shirt designs below:

1999 + 2009 T-shirt for the Third Ever Blue Oyster International Art Fair
Catherine Griffiths, 2014 / Limited edition: 50

2003 + 2013 T-shirt for the Third Ever Blue Oyster International Art Fair
Catherine Griffiths, 2014 / Limited edition: 50

First glimpse of the T-shirts, in the ink version of Yves Klein Blue?

So, what exactly is Yves Klein Blue?

Choosing the right blue — what is perceived as the YK blue analogue and digital — resulted in using PMS 2738U, a “punchier” blue, as I was quoted saying. A new Blue Oyster.

Fun.

The Third Ever Blue Oyster International Art Fair

2014

Blue Oyster Art Project Space, Dunedin, NZ

Commissioned by Blue Oyster director Chloe Geoghegan to design two limited edition T-shirts, for a bottle of fine Japanese Sake. It was decided to work with the titles of past projects. This then led to the design of the promotional poster announcing the artists in the context of the Third Ever International Art Fair.

<< Based in Dunedin, the Blue Oyster Art Project Space exists to enable emerging and experimental artists, writers and curators to work free from commercial restraints>>
