Logo and visual identity for Stevens Lawson Architects

client: Nicholas Stevens and Gary Lawson

Designed in 2005, this construction of letterforms was a response to the Stevens Lawson partnership, practice, and philosophy. It was also informed, somewhat, by the multi-storey Wellington house Nicholas Stevens had designed, just prior to Gary Lawson joining the practice, for Bruce Connew and me on a cliff-side in Roseneath. The build was completed in 2002.

The identity has served the SLA brand well over the years, and is much loved by the practice.

A recent collaboration with Stevens Lawson Architects has been the lettering for the Blyth Performing Arts Centre.
